About the Business Days Calculator
The Business Days Calculator combines three common workflows in one tool: count working days between dates, add business days to a date, or subtract business days from a date.
Saturday and Sunday are excluded by default. You can choose any custom weekend pattern for regions or schedules that use different non-working days.
Add custom holiday dates to exclude them from business-day totals and date calculations. A holiday that falls on a configured weekend is counted as a weekend only, preventing the same date from being excluded twice.
Boundary controls let you include or exclude the start date and, for date ranges, the end date. Results separate business, calendar, weekend and holiday days so every exclusion is clear.

- What does Include start date mean when adding days?
- When enabled, an eligible start date can count as the first requested business day. When disabled, counting begins on the next or previous calendar date.
- Can I calculate a business date in the past?
- Yes. Choose Subtract business days, enter a start date and amount, then configure weekends and holidays as needed.
- Why are calendar days greater than business days?
- Calendar days include every considered date. Business days exclude configured weekends and custom holidays, which are reported separately.
