About the Countdown Timer
The Countdown Timer shows how much time remains until any future date and time you choose. The display refreshes every second so the seconds tick down live in the browser.
The main panel splits the remaining time into days, hours, minutes and seconds. Below it, totals show the same gap expressed entirely in days, hours or minutes, which is handy for planning and reminders.
If the chosen moment is already in the past, the timer switches to show how long ago it happened instead of counting down. Everything runs locally, so the page keeps counting even without a network connection.
