About the Favicon from Emoji

A quick, recognisable favicon can be as simple as an emoji. This tool renders any emoji into crisp PNG icons ready for your site.

It produces 16 and 32 px favicons, a 180 px Apple touch icon and 192 and 512 px PWA icons, with a transparent or solid background.

Download individual PNGs or a complete ZIP containing the icons, site.webmanifest, copy-ready HTML link tags and setup notes.

Everything is drawn in your browser with Canvas, so nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use the favicon?
Add the 32 px PNG as your favicon with a link tag, the 180 px as apple-touch-icon, and the 512 px in your web manifest for PWAs.
Do emojis look the same on every device?
No. The PNG captures the emoji style available on the device where you generate it. Regenerate on another operating system and the artwork may look different.
Is my choice uploaded anywhere?
No. The icons are generated locally in your browser.
Why can an emoji look unclear as a favicon?
Detailed or multi-character emoji can lose definition at 16 or 32 pixels. Inspect the smallest preview and prefer a simple, high-contrast symbol before installing the icon set.
