About the Rotate PDF

Rotate PDF applies the same clockwise rotation to every page in a document. The available choices are 90, 180, and 270 degrees, and the gallery displays how all pages will look before the new copy is saved.

The selected angle is added to each page's existing PDF rotation. Page content is not rendered to an image, so text, vectors, and source page content remain in PDF form.

All thumbnails are produced locally for review. A document with many complex pages can use significant memory while the preview gallery is being rendered.

Frequently asked questions

Can different pages use different angles?
Not in this tool; the chosen angle applies to every page. Use Organize PDF for per-page rotation.
Is rotation permanent?
The downloaded copy stores the updated page rotations; the source file remains unchanged.
Does rotation reduce quality?
No page screenshot or intentional recompression is used.
What happens to already rotated pages?
The selected angle is added to each page's current rotation.
Why does previewing a long PDF take time?
The browser renders each page thumbnail locally and must keep the gallery in device memory.
