About the Image Compressor
Large images slow pages down and fill up storage. This compressor reduces an image's file size by re-encoding it at a quality you choose.
Move the quality slider and instantly see the new file size and how much you have saved, then download when it looks right. WebP usually gives the smallest files at the same quality.
Compression runs entirely in your browser, so your image stays private on your device.

Frequently asked questions
- What quality should I use?
- Around 70 to 80 percent is a good balance for photos: much smaller files with little visible difference. Lower values save more but can look blocky.
- Why is WebP smaller than JPG?
- WebP uses more modern compression, so it usually produces smaller files at the same visual quality. It is supported by all current browsers.
- Is my image uploaded?
- No. Compression happens locally in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
