Export notes

  • • PNG preserves transparent backgrounds and sharp rings.
  • • JPG replaces transparency and is best for photographic profiles.
  • • Guides and editor checkerboards never appear in downloads.
  • • No automatic background removal is claimed; use a transparent PNG when you need a cutout.

About the Profile Picture & PFP Maker

Profile Picture & PFP Maker is a private 1024 × 1024 identity editor for creator channels, professional accounts, gaming communities and social profiles. Upload a portrait or illustration, choose an original visual style and reposition the image directly on the canvas without sending it to a server.

Frame the photo as a circle, rounded square, squircle or hexagon, then control zoom, position, rotation, inset and horizontal direction. Independent brightness, contrast, saturation and warmth adjustments help the subject remain readable when a platform displays the result at a small size.

Build the area around the portrait with solid, gradient, transparent or blurred-photo backgrounds. One or two editable rings can be combined with optional initials, a short name or channel label and a status badge, giving you useful identity treatments without depending on stock artwork or copied templates.

Circular and rounded platform checks show the same composition in compact YouTube, Instagram, Discord and LinkedIn-style contexts. These are crop and readability previews rather than promises of exact platform rendering, because services can change their display masks, compression and upload requirements.

Export an exact 1024 × 1024 PNG, JPG or WebP without a ToolsOnDuty watermark. A versioned project file preserves the embedded photo and editable controls for later work. The tool does not falsely claim AI background removal, face generation or cloud collaboration; a transparent source image can be used when a clean cutout is needed.

How to use

  1. 1Choose the creator, professional, gaming or other style closest to the identity you want to present.
  2. 2Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP portrait, illustration or logo that you own or have permission to use.
  3. 3Choose a circle, rounded square, squircle or hexagon and drag the photo directly on the preview to improve the crop.
  4. 4Fine-tune zoom, position, rotation, inset, brightness, contrast, saturation and warmth.
  5. 5Select a gradient, solid, transparent or blurred-photo background and customize one or two profile rings.
  6. 6Optionally show a name, channel label or initials, adjust its size and position, and add a coloured status badge.
  7. 7Check the circular crop guide and the four compact platform previews so important facial details do not sit near an edge.
  8. 8Choose PNG for transparency, JPG for photographic efficiency or WebP for a modern compact file, then download the exact 1024 × 1024 result.
  9. 9Save a project file if you want to preserve the embedded source photo and editable settings for another session.

Examples

Create a professional headshot PFP
Input: Professional style, neutral portrait, circle mask, restrained slate background and no status badge
Output: Clean 1024 × 1024 profile image with a subtle light ring

Keep the face near the centre because many services display profile photos inside a circular mask.

Build a gaming community avatar
Input: Gaming style, illustrated character, hexagon mask, cyan and magenta double rings
Output: High-contrast WebP avatar suitable for compact community lists

Use only artwork you created or are licensed to publish.

Prepare a transparent creator profile
Input: Transparent PNG portrait, transparent canvas background, white ring and short channel initials
Output: 1024 × 1024 PNG retaining transparency outside the framed identity

JPG cannot retain transparency, so choose PNG for this workflow.

Continue the profile design later
Input: Uploaded portrait, custom crop, ring colours, badge position and photo adjustments
Output: Versioned PFP project JSON with the editable image embedded

Project files can be large because portability requires storing the selected photo in the file.

Frequently asked questions

What size does the PFP maker export?
It exports an exact 1024 × 1024 square image. This high-resolution master can be resized or compressed by the destination platform after upload.
Are uploaded profile photos sent to ToolsOnDuty?
No. The image is decoded, edited, previewed and exported locally in your browser.
Will the circular guide appear in my download?
No. The cyan circular crop guide is only an editor aid and is excluded from PNG, JPG and WebP exports.
Does the tool automatically remove a photo background?
No. It does not make a fake AI background-removal claim. Use a transparent PNG or WebP source, or prepare the image with the separate Background Remover before adding it here.
Why are there different platform previews?
A profile design can look balanced as a large square but lose important details inside a small circle or rounded tile. The previews help identify those crop and readability problems before export.
Are the YouTube, Instagram, Discord and LinkedIn previews exact?
They are practical visual crop checks, not guaranteed replicas. Platforms can change masks, dimensions, compression and interface presentation.
Which format should I choose?
PNG is best for transparent backgrounds and crisp rings, JPG is efficient for photographic profiles without transparency, and WebP can offer a smaller modern file where supported.
Can I undo edits?
Yes. Undo and redo retain up to 60 recent changes to the composition, settings and uploaded photo during the current editor session.
What does the project file contain?
It contains the editable settings and embedded source photo. It is downloaded to your device and is not stored by ToolsOnDuty.
Can I use a celebrity photo, game character or company logo?
Only use a photo, illustration, character or logo when you own it or have permission to publish it. The editor does not provide rights to uploaded assets.
