About the Crop PDF

Crop PDF removes visible page area by setting top, right, bottom, and left margins in PDF points. The same margin values are applied to every page, and a first-page overlay previews the retained region.

The tool changes each page's crop and media boxes instead of rendering a screenshot. Content outside the new boxes is no longer part of the visible page area, while content inside remains in its original PDF form.

Cropping is not secure redaction: hidden or out-of-view source objects may still exist in the PDF structure. Use Redact PDF when sensitive information must be permanently removed from selectable output.
