About the DST Clock Change Checker
The DST Clock Change Checker finds the daylight saving transitions for a time zone in a chosen year. It shows the date the clocks spring forward and the date they fall back, along with the UTC offset before and after each change.
Some zones do not observe daylight saving time at all. In that case the tool clearly states that the clocks stay the same for the whole year.
The transitions are detected from live time-zone data, so the results reflect the real rules for the zone and year you pick.

Frequently asked questions
- Why do some zones show no changes?
- Many regions do not use daylight saving time. For those zones the tool reports that the clocks stay the same all year.
- What do the offsets mean?
- Each change shows the UTC offset before and after, for example GMT-5 to GMT-4, so you can see how much the clocks move.
- Does forward mean losing an hour?
- Yes. Spring forward moves the clock ahead and shortens that day by an hour, while fall back moves it back and adds an hour.
