About the World Clock
The World Clock shows the live local time in several cities at once. Your own time zone is added automatically, and you can add or remove any of the major world cities.
Each row shows the current time, the weekday and date, the UTC offset and a sun or moon icon to indicate day or night. The clocks refresh every second in your browser.
This is handy for keeping track of colleagues, family or markets in other regions without doing time-zone maths by hand. Daylight saving time is handled automatically by the time-zone data.

Frequently asked questions
- Does the world clock handle daylight saving time?
- Yes. Each city uses live IANA time-zone data, so daylight saving changes are applied automatically for the current date.
- How often does the time update?
- Every clock refreshes once per second while the page is open, so the seconds tick along in real time.
- Which time zone is used for my location?
- The tool reads your device's time zone and adds it to the top of the list so you always have a local reference.
